Summary:

(5749) Debate what the Halacha is in Shulchan Aruch (Beg. of Laws of Sukkot); "You shall dwell in booths for seven days" - they are the "Clouds of Glory" ("Annanei Ha'kavod") with which the Holy One, surrounded them [our ancestors in the desert], so that they should not be disturbed by the heat and by the sun";

The innovation (Chiddush) of the Alter Rebbe ( ibid. Shulchan Aruch HaRav) by adding the word "for shade"
("surrounded them for shade, so that they should not etc.");

Explanation of the words of the Alter Rebbe (Shulchan Aruch HaRav 631:2) in the law of "it must provide more shade than sun" (Tzeilta mruba m'Chamta) and  his viewpoint in the Din of intent (Kavanah) in the Mitzvah of Sukkah.
